Deadline Whooshing Past – Redux – Word Play

Some wise fellow once said that a world without deadlines is chaos. Yet, there is not one person I know who likes and appreciates the value of deadlines. Maybe it has got to do with the word itself because it has starts with ‘dead’ which everyone dreads and putting it in the beginning when death has an aura of finality makes it twisty. I wonder what the guys who made up this word were thinking when they thought about it. Morons. Etymology apart, what makes people dislike deadlines at their core is that they sneak up on ya. One moment one is happy minding their own sweet stuff even if the deadline looms and overbears and the very next moment, they swoosh past sweeping everything in their wake. You get the drift…
