Recession Effects on 3rd World – Pan to Fire

Dont believe what you read/surf/hear/see in the papers/internet/radio/TV respectively. The argument so far has been that the effect of recession on the 3rd world is like adding more trash to an overflowing trash can (good idea for a cartoon). Even if the 3rd world is depressingly poor, things can indeed go from bad to worse. Take for example, the stock exchange. What about the real-estate crash? High prices of commodities. Cuts in jobs and salaries? The unemployment has never been this bad. Closure of factories is taking its toll. How about increase in violence? A whole lot of social and economic crap. Etc.
The recessions effects are trickling in slowly into the 3rd world folks as a classic case of out of the pan and into the fire…
