Of Situations and Characters in our Life Show

There is an old adage that says, “good things happen to good people”. It is basically untrue since good things never happen to me. Certainly not the good things and the good life as shown in TV shows.
For example, I was watching this episode of the TV sitcom [Scrubs – My Blind Date] in which there is a patient who he comes into contact with and for the most part of an epsiode and a half, he cannot see her face. But he has chats with her and then holds her hand and fantasizes in the hope that she will be really hot. And it turns out she is quite pretty and they have a date and all that.

Now people often wonder of how come such things only happen to those characters in the TV shows and not in real-life. And most certainly not to them which is strange because such situations should happen to someone out there. Anyway, therein lies the answer. Such things happen to the characters because of exactly that – they are characters and the whole TV show exists because such things happen (or have to happen) to those characters!
Yeah, this is a silly post but then it has to pondered then in our observer univierse, we are the main characters in the reality show called life but yet such things still do not happen to us. Most of us lead innocent, unremarkable lives.

Now, why is that? Is that fate or is it choice?

Choice. One makes those things ‘happen’ for oneself. The rest is bad luck. hehe

You mean, the ‘choice’ NOT TO make those things happen to themselves? Can we make such choices? Hmmm…

Either way it is a choice.

I see a guy… a cute guy, and I can choose to meet him or not.

This entry reminds me of those Snickers commercials, have you seen them? Where a guy is eating a snickers and gets stepped on and shouts. Then some band is driving by and hears him shouting and makes him their lead singer. As he’s singing his lyrics (I want to be your resident) get misinterpreted as ‘I want to be your president’ and in an election he wins by a landslide. etc. etc.

It was his choice to eat the snicker bar. Therefore he became president. hahaha. Ok ok. so that’s a bit too much. I better be quiet now.
