Critical Incident at St.Andrews
Owing to taxi problems, we were atleast 15 minutes late to the school. To some extent, expectedly, there were no pupils in the classroom. Who is responsible is the question –
Students? – Well, there is some joy, perhaps it is part of human nature, that something fixed is broken. Like a class cancelled. And it was 15 minutes anyway which is long enough time to test the angleness of even the most excited student
Top-Up? – True that the taxi was the major problem but then what can they do about it? They have enough administrative work on their heads already
Taxi? – Again, these are things that are not in our control. If we were bureaucratic, we could hold them responsible since that is the safest way around. Blame those who cannot be accounted for. So, let us leave them out for now
Tutors? – Yes, partially it was our fault. Because we knew that we were going to be late and it was wise that we called up the contact teacher and told him/her so. The teacher would have kept the classroom in session
So, the moral of this story is that one should have the emergency details of the contact teacher and the school…
