GooOS – Google Operating System

Was just beginning to think if GMail could be the email client of all people, why not other applications? And saw this –
GooOS, the Google Operating System (kottke.org)
Should follow all the links it points to. Really cool.

While the most recent article from Infoworld has this snippet which reflects our Strands model quite cannily. They call it –

“Context reassembly: When writing a report, you’re likely to refer to a spreadsheet, visit some Web pages, and engage in an IM chat. Using its indexed and searchable event stream, the system would restore this context when you later read or edited the document. Think browser history on steroids”
